The Moondog Wolf has been designed as a low priced student guitar.
It has a spruce top, the part that produces the sound. The bowl back is Wood and has a composite material shell casing.
The function of the back and sides of a guitar is to reflect and project the sound produced by the top. The original bowlback design was created by Ovation to reflect without the interruption of rear struts.
The problem with using an all plastic roundback is that the sound reflected is a very plastic sound. We use a 2 mm moulded wood back. This is then supported by a composite material shell.
The sound that comes out is an all wood sound.
Add to that the high quality under saddle piezo ceramic pick up. The quality
hard case.

This set up is rigorous, it includes the following:
Truss rod and neck adjustment to perfection
Nut and saddle adjustment.
Perfect adjustment to weight balance on pick up to ensure a perfect volume balance
across the strings
Redressing of frets to perfect smoothness.
Restringing with Cleartone light strings.
Your guitar will arrive ready to play and with perfect action, intonation, and
finish.
