THE
MOONDOG LIBERTY BELL 12 STRING
The Moondog Liberty Bell has been
designed for the Professional player who needs a 12 string that
is practical and responds to the massive tonal range produced by
the 12 string configuration
Sadly, most twelve strings are just strengthened derivations of
their 6 string cousins.
Not the case with the Liberty Bell.
Because we use a tuned table with lattice bracing, we
have the flexibility to cope, in the construction process, with
the very different harmonics and overtones produced by the 12
strings
It has our unique “Sound pot” Strutting system.
The “Sound pot” uses only the part of the table (Soundboard)
that we can control.
The uncontrollable areas around the shoulders of the guitar are
not used.
This enables us to tune the response of the table to certain
controlled frequency ranges.
The reason for this is to maintain a balanced sound dynamic, not
only across the strings, but also across the string length.
This enables a balanced dynamic response across the whole
notational range of the guitar. This is crucial with a 12
string.
