Most low priced Resonator Guitars have a cheap pressed steel resonator.
Unfortunately, that’s no good. It will just make the guitar sound like a dustbin lid with strings on.
Our resonator follows the Dobro pattern. The resonator is correctly spun from wire, not pressed. It has the kind of resonance produced by a Cymbal. This is the only way to get that real resonator sound.
EACH MOONDOG INSTRUMENT IS PROFESSIONALLY SET UP!Each MOONDOG instrument is set up individually by our in house luthier.
This set up is rigorous, it includes the following:
Truss rod and neck adjustment to perfection
Nut and saddle adjustment.
Perfect adjustment to weight balance on pick up to ensure a perfect volume balance
across the strings
Redressing of frets to perfect smoothness.
Restringing with Optima 24 carat Gold plated light strings.
Your guitar will arrive ready to play and with perfect action, intonation, and
finish.
