The Grand Auditorium is constructed with the very finest Solid Spruce combined with Back and sides of sandwiched Rosewood, Balsa and Carbon Fibre mesh. This allows the archback strutless form. The result of the strutless back is clear reflection across the whole dynamic range and perfect balance of volume and tone across the strings.

The table (soundboard) of the Grand Auditorium is completely unique.

Unlike most guitars this is not a copy of standard bracing techniques .

In order to achieve the massive dynamic range we use our own “Soundpot” bracing technology.

The sound board is planned to produce responses to pre set frequencies, applied to it by sympathetic oscillation. Carbon fibre overlaid lattice bracing is then applied. This is much lighter than the traditional X bracing. The tuned “Soundpot” section of the table maintains massive structural integrity, whilst allowing a much higher level of response. This enables a balanced dynamic response, not only across the strings, but over the whole string length. The overall level of volume from this guitar is considerably higher than X braced guitars, this volume is maintained across the whole notational range.

The grand Auditorium is equally at home with the warmer finger picking tones as with heavy flat picking. The Grand Auditorium was designed from day one as a cutaway. So many cutaway guitars are simply altered derivatives of the non-cutaway model.

As a result they loose a fair proportion of top frequency response. Not the case with this guitar. It has been designed and tuned to work in cutaway form.

We have widened the lower bout and compensated the left side of the upper bout so that the balance is the same as a non-cutaway guitar.
